Ode to the structural

monkeys, apes and baboons
like to watch rude cartoons
point and jeer and jump around
when little figures' pants fall down

tigers, lions, cheetahs too
do big large steaming heaps of poo
after chewing on slow gazelle
and generally raising pack morale

come one come all come see the show
its running free to all who know
and if you're lucky you may catch
wild engineers fly off the latch

This poem is written in tribute to stressed engineers. I was thinking about engineers at their desks, scratching their heads and fidgeting, and then they morphed into monkeys standing on their chairs, scratching their heads, making their "ooh ooh aah aah" noise. Work can do that to a man, you know. The monkey analogy is for the engineers who spend their day talking about beer and women, and the tiger analogy for those who work heinously long hours and end up with something for it (it is debatable as to the return though - a steaming heap of poo
