A post!

Goodness! A blog post by Michelle, you say. About time! Well you see I decided to sign up to be able to email posts to my blog, and I know this technology has been available for eons, but up until this morning the thought hadn't really occured to me. What brilliance! What simplicity! Instead of writing long ranty emails to my friends, I can just post them on my blog for all to read. Yes. The ease.

Anyway, I finally have something to post about. Although there have probably been things to post about over the last six months, I was just too busy to stop and post them! For those who haven't experienced it, planning a wedding is hard work! And now that I am married and all the planning is over and done with, I have more time to whinge... er I mean Post.

I am bored with work. At least I had a hobby to go home to over the last six months, rather than getting up at 6.15 to get ready for work, 7.45 going to work, 5.05 coming home from work, 6pm making tea, 8pm making lunch for work, and 8.30 going to bed so I wont be as tired and headachey at work tomorrow. Hurrah, how exciting. Why wasn't I born a mathematical boy? (A boy who was talented at mathematics) Any career could have been my oyster, instead of being born a girl who liked history, research, and languages, forever destined to be out of a job that she could use her skills in, instead - working in administration.

All is useless! All is vanity! I must go. I have hundreds of pages of photocopying awating my nimble hand (and sore neck) and fifty more boxes of files to label (that apparently should be done 3 per hour, rather than the one per day I was so proud of). Aah life. Being grown up isn't always what its cracked up to be. With it comes responsibilities, bills, loans, debts, the necessity to work to earn a living, cooking meals, doing dishes when you're tired, and sleepless nights trying to think up schemes in which your time and skills can be better utilised.

Only 9 minutes of work to go. Thank God I've made it through another day. I could be working in a post centre!
