Christians cannot study Maths
And while I'm at it, complaining that is, some "un-religious" people can be so ignorant and prejudiced! I came in to work this morning and one of the ladies was talking about a Seventh Day Adventist Wedding she went to, and she mentioned that the groom was doing a PHD in Physics and Mathematics. The boss called out "but how could a religious person do that? Wouldn't it contradict his beliefs?" and then they started sniggering about intelligent design.....
Oh gee, I believe in God, I couldn't possibly be involved with mathematics! It might compromise my belief in creation.
I do not believe that people who study the sciences couldn't possibly align it with religion, Christians aren't dumb!! And there are plenty of people out there who don't have to agree with everything they hear - for example, a person who supports the greens can surely take a class on NZ politics, listening non-abusively to talks on our Labour past.
And then, I overheard a discussion on how the pastor at the wedding had talked about how Adam wasn't decended from Monkeys, and the Bride didn't come from lucky slime, and they all started talking about how ignorant "religious" people are about evolution and science!!
And everyone thinks that its only Christians who are prejudiced and dumb!

lol yeah... i used to be like that, hated this Christian in my 4th form class 'cos he used to call me gay for listening to Savage Garden (whose singer, by the way, is gay), so i told my friend he sucks 'cos he's a Christian yet uses technology, not realising that she was a Christian too and that there is nothing in the Bible which says Christians can't use technology (not that i had ever read it)
i think it's 'cos Christians seem to think they can achieve things non-Christians can't through their relationship with God, which makes them seem up themselves, so therefore if they depend on "wordly" things non-Christians use it as an opportunity to say see there's no such thing as miracles and you're no better than the rest of us
